I believe there are certain circumstances we go thru so that later on we can show a deeper compassion to people going thru those same circumstances. When I first thought about telling my story I was scared to death. My heart was beating so fast and honestly I didn’t think anyone cared to hear about it. I was so ashamed of all the things I’d done. But the more I opened up about it, the more people connected with me. To me it’s all about putting your feelings aside just for a little bit so you can offer a glimmer of hope to someone else in that moment. Show people that YOU made it out of some deep dark valleys so they know THEY CAN TOO!!
